Crohns and Diebetes

I see alot of questions from people asking what happens when your diagnosed with Crohns and already have Diabetes. Im 46 and was just told I have Crohn's
I have had diebetes for almost 5 years, was just getting it totally under control and this happens. Can anyone tell me if this is fatal?
