Homeopathy treatment for Crohns?

My brother was recently diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and he is scheduled for surgery in the next two weeks. He is barely coping and we are finding ways to help him get back on his feet. I found this website of a homeopathy doctor about an alternative treatment to crohn's which does not require steroids, his website is http://www.crohnswholistic.com

I am quite apprehensive about taking the plunge and making my brother go to this homeopathy doctor, his name s Dr. Namaya. But we are doing everything we can and willing to try anything that promises even the smallest glimmer of hope for his condition.

Has anyone here tried homeopathy to treat crohn's? Was it successful? Any help and/or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello,

Thank you for your post. I would be very interested to know how the treatment went for your brother. I come from a natural health background and I know a great deal about Crohn's but have not encountered homeopathy and any results as of yet.

I can certainly understand why you would be willing to try any alternative remedies. I certainly think that there is a place for alternative remedies when dealing with many treatments but, because there is no known cure for Crohn's, I'm also a strong advocate for traditional medicines if necessary.

I would be fascinated to know about the treatment given and how quickly, if at all, it improved. I have read up on some of the homeopathic treatments for Crohn's and I can understand that it is relevant to the individual situation but I am sure like myself, others would be very interested to know if there was some relief experienced.

I am surprised that the doctor did not reccommend either Remicade or Humira before opting for surgery, especially after so short of a time after diagnosis. Remicade saved my life in more ways than one!

my friend Dana there in Vemont went to this kind of therapy and was very satisfied with the whole process. She went thru this because she ain't comfortable undergoing surgery... Im not really sure though if it was Dr. Namaya who diagnosed her..
